About SCORE

SCORE "Counselors To America's Small Business" is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the small business community through no-fee mentoring and business counseling and low-cost workshops. That's right, SCORE members volunteer their time and considerable business expertise to help coach the next generation of entrepreneurs. SCORE boasts almost 400 chapters, and 10,500 members nationwide. In SCORE's more than 40 years of service, volunteers have assisted more than 7 million people.

Who are SCORE Volunteers?

Volunteers come from every facet of the business community. Some have worked at corporations such as Dupont, Hercules, AstraZeneca, and Boeing, while others have owned their own small businesses locally and throughout the nation. No one person may have all of the business knowledge you seek. However, with the depth of SCORE's experience, it won't be difficult to find the expert you are looking for. Whether it's questions about exporting, financing, manufacturing, packaging, marketing or human resources, SCORE is ready to help you solve your business problems and put you on the path to success.

How Can SCORE Help Me?

Just getting started? Join SCORE for one of their popular and professional pre-business workshops. These workshops provide an overview of the major concerns for starting your own business. Once you've gotten your feet wet, one of SCORE's specialized workshops will help you map out goals and conquer problems specific to your business. At any time, you are welcome to take advantage of SCORE's confidential, one-to-one or team business management counseling available at the SCORE office or at your business location.
