How does it work?
Our "Extreme Sports Camera System" consists of the Worlds Smallest Full Featured Personal Digital Video Recorder and Camera. You mount the camera on your helmet or goggles and carry the recorder in your pocket. The recorder will store all of the action and sound on a removable SD Memory card that you can download to your computer with the built in USB port on the recorder. The video and audio is stored in an MPEG-4 format, AVI file, with full motion, 30 frames per second, standard NTSC full screen format. You can play your video back and view it on the recorders 2.5 inch color LCD display or connect the recorder to the A/V inputs of a TV for larger screen viewing.

NOTE: Changes to the interface of the established format have made some older devices designed for standard SD cards (≤4 GB) unable to handle newer formats such as SDHC (≥4 GB). All SD cards have the same physical shape, which causes confusion for many consumers.
SDHC (Secure Digital High-Capacity) cards are flash memory cards with a minimum capacity of 4GB (gigabytes). SDHC cards provide removable memory for compatible digital devices including cameras, camcorders, PDAs, MP3 players and more. Secure Digital refers to a specific format within the flash card market. SDHC cards are designed for devices that are compatible with the SDHC 2.00 specification. Products designed exclusively to support previous SD specifications 1.0 and 1.1 will not be able to utilize SDHC cards.
We recommend the use of 2GB or smaller SD cards. Larger SD cards will lock up the recorder.

The camera is powerd directly from the CCS-500 recorder. This is a color camera with very low light level sensitivity and the microphone is extremely sensitive. Just slightly larger than a Quarter, it is the perfect match for the CCS-500. The camera and microphone is easily mounted to almost any surface using double sided outdoor carpet tape available at your local hardware store. Helmet, googles, baseball hat are just some of the possibilities. The camera and microphone are NOT water proof so care must be taken when considering a mounting location.
